Slideshow: DC march calling for “Not One More” deportation

Immigrant activists and their allies rallied in cities across the country this weekend, demanding President Obama and Congress move quickly to stop deportations that separate families and pass comprehensive immigration reform. The monarch butterfly, whose migration is celebrated as beautiful and natural, has become a symbol for immigration reform activists.

Activist and musician Zenén Jaimes says he’s marching for the “undocu-queers” abused in immigration detention and deported to countries where they face danger and discrimination.

Activists hold hands a pray for the President to suspend deportations.

Marchers sing, “Justice is what we want, justice for our families.”
